Nicki has a background in investment banking in Australia and the USA. She has a strong emphasis on sustainability across her professional career. Currently Executive Director, Head of Australia, Global Relationship Group at IMF Investors (A$140bn AUM) and past Head of Strategic Partnerships in Australia for Russell Investments (AUD$392bn AUM).
Nicki Ashton - Independent Director
Nicki is the Head of Strategic Partnerships in Australia for Russell Investments, where she focuses on building and maintaining strategic relationships with institutional clients. Nicki is also a specialist in responsible investment, and is the lead member for Asia Pacific of the Russell Investments Sustainability Council as well as a member of the Responsible Investment Committee which drives the development of capabilities and product within Russell Investments to cater to client needs.
Nicki is a Non-Executive Director of 2 disability focused not-for-profit organisations and has a strong commitment to sustainability in both her business and Non-Executive representations.
Prior to Russell Investments Nicki was involved in the environmental markets as Managing Director of Ecofin Australia and before that, Change Investment Management. She has also worked in the investment banking industry having held positions at Citigroup (Australia), BNP Paribas (New York) and Deutsche Bank (Australia).
Nicki has a B.A., Economics and Political Science, University of Sydney, a Graduate Diploma in Applied Finance and Investment, FINSIA and is a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
